Shattered — Richard Kevin Hartley

I hear them approach
The trumpeters sound the warning
The first night has come
It brings Pestilence with it
Disease that rots the flesh of the living
Those who die quickly are lucky
Those who survive must suffer
Leviathan’s minions eat the dead
Family and friends lie dead or dying around me
I see the white horse in the distance

I hear them approach
The trumpeters sound the warning
The second night has come
It brings war with it
War that is mass slaughter
Woman and children killed in their sleep
Towns and cities destroyed
Girls raped on the streets
Streets that run red with blood
Satan’s pets devour the innocent
Family and friends lie dead or dying around me
I see the red horse in the distance

I hear them approach
The trumpeters sound the warning
The third night has come
It brings Famine with it
Children cry from starvation
Men and women devour their friends
Beelzelbul’s laughter echoes in my head
Family and friends lie dead or dying around me
I see the black horse in the distance

I hear them approach
The trumpeters sound the warning
The forth night has come
Death has finally come
The reaper swallows the world in darkness
Hell comes to earth
Those who have survived so far must now suffer
The worst of all fates
Lucifer with earth as his thrown
My family lies dead
My friend with them
I watch the pale horse walk in to the sunset
I have survived the four horsemen
But my punishment has just begun
